In August 2018 we were delighted to officially launch North Star Australia! During an evening event held at the iconic Opera Bar in the Sydney Opera House, North Star welcomed many of our partners and industry colleagues, old and new.
The evening was an opportunity to celebrate North Star’s expansion into the Asia Pacific market and we were also pleased to have Michael Ward, British Consul General and Director General for UK Department for International Trade Australia & New Zealand in attendance and to introduce us to Australia.
Michaela Keating is heading up our Australian company as Managing Director (Asia Pacific), based locally in Sydney. Michaela is a passenger transport operations professional with 27 years’ experience in the procurement, planning, implementation and delivery of public transport services, both as ultimate operator and as consultant to client/Local Authority organisations.

On the expansion into Asia Pacific, North Star Managing Director, Richard Brown added ‘We are excited to finally establish a permanent base in Sydney. With a growing rail community, many large-scale projects and following strong indications from the region about how North Star’s work would be appreciated, the move down under was an obvious next step for us.”
