Richard Brown, Director of North Star Consultancy welcomed the recognition of customer service as a key aspect for the future at this year’s International Air Rail conference in Vienna.
The event, which for the first time was sponsored by North Star Consultancy saw delegates from across the world attend, all keen to share best practice and discuss why customers choose rail-air links.
Richard, who has an unrivalled understanding of the air and rail sectors, chaired two sessions at the two day event. The conference heard experts such as Ed Humphreys, Director of Transport Planning and Economics at SKM, Per Thorstenson, Chief Executive Officer of Arlanda Express, Siep Wijsenbeek, Director of Design Triangle and Henrik Karmo, Corporate Development Officer at Moscow’s Aeroexpress presenting their views on customer expectations.
Richard Brown, Director for North Star said, ‘The IARO Conference provided a valuable forum for businesses across the world to learn more about communications and customer expectations in the air and rail industry. We are passionate about helping companies to deliver service excellence via a commercially successful operation and recognise just how vital effective customer service is for a business to succeed. It was fascinating hearing views from some outstanding speakers who addressed issues relating to air-rail development in the next ten years, current development in communications and modal choice and customer expectations. By working together and learning from each other we can agree the best way forward and improve the rail and air industry for future generations.’
