Following the successful launch of North Star Australia in August 2018, North Star is delighted to welcome Leanne Wheeler to Sydney as Operations Manager/Senior Consultant (Asia Pacific).
Leanne will join regional MD Michaela Keating as part of the permanent North Star Australia team based in Sydney. The move follows three years in the Middle East for Leanne, where she was regional manager for North Star’s Dubai office as well as providing rail operations consultancy support on high-profile projects such as the mobilisation of the Doha Metro in Qatar.
Leanne is a rail operations and communications professional educated to Master’s degree level in Translation and Professional Language Skills and experienced in project management, quality and compliance. She has developed these skills in the rail industry by working with operators, maintainers and suppliers on high-profile bids and service start-ups both in Europe and the Middle East.
Michaela is a passenger transport operations professional with 27 years’ experience in the procurement, planning, implementation and delivery of public transport services, both as ultimate operator and as consultant to client/Local Authority organisations.
This move cements North Star’s commitment to growth in Australia and increases the number of consultants based permanently within the AsPac region.
