Catherine is a Human Resource (HR) professional with a record of accomplishment of both the creation of new organisations and delivering change for a variety of companies predominantly within the transport sector on behalf of a wide range of UK and international clients. Companies that Catherine has worked with include Arriva, Stagecoach, London Overground, Metronet, GTRM, London Underground and London Transport Ltd. In 2015, she was appointed as a Lead Evaluator by the Department of Transport for assessing TOCs’ applications for the new Pre-Qualification Passport scheme.
Recently, Catherine has: provided strategic HR advice on the future structuring of the Oman Railway Company organisation; been the responsible procurement lead for Siemens in their bid for Crossrail train service provision; been HR lead in the planning and mobilisation of additional resources to service the London 2012 Olympics on the Docklands Light Railway; provided consultancy advice to Hitachi, preferred bidder for the UK’s largest train procurement programme in the setting up of the maintenance organisation for a 20-year train service provision contract; been HR lead in the creation of the London Overground concession business LOROL commencing at bid stage through to successful mobilisation of the new organisation; and, has been HR lead for Metronet, from the privatised maintenance, renewal and upgrade organisation from the bid planning and preparation stage, through to mobilisation.
Catherine’s successful performance in delivering the Docklands Light Railway project ensured that she was a leading member of the North Star team that won the ‘Supplier of the Year’ Award at the 2012 Light Rail Awards for the work undertaken by the DLR during the Olympics.
