North Star goes global

richard brown with Brazilian contact North Star, a leading consultancy in customer service, operations and people strategies has demonstrated it’s global credentials and the worldwide requirement for rail-air expertise by giving a unique rail-air link international overview at this year’s ‘Airport Train Brazil’ conference, organised by Revista Ferroviaria, one of Brazil’s oldest magazines.

Richard Brown, Director for North Star who has an unrivalled understanding of the railair sectors was invited to this prestigious event to share his expertise and best practice with key people involved in the creation of Brazil’s first rail-air link.

He delivered two presentations, the first focused on financing airport railways and the second, which was given on behalf of IARO (International Air Rail Organisation) explored the growth of rail-air links worldwide and provided rail-air operators with North Star’s 15 golden rules for success.

Richard Brown, Director for North Star said: “Developing a successful rail-air link service is a challenge for any company and requires excellent problem solving skills, a clearly defined strategy and an understanding of the needs of the customer whilst delivering stakeholder objectives. The conference was a great forum to share our experiences of specifying, planning, project managing and implementing successful rail-air links, such as Heathrow Express and providing other rail-air operators with the tools to help them achieve their very best.”
