Rod Hoare chairman
Rod Hoare was awarded an MBE in 1976 and is one of the best known names in the transport industry.  With over 30 years experience, Rod has held various non-executive roles and in addition to being Chairman of North Star, he is also currently the Chairman of Inova and Aeolus. He was Chief Executive of Metronet for four years from 1999 to 2003. Immediately prior to this he was Group Rail Director for BAA plc and Chairman of Heathrow Express, which he developed from its early concept stages in 1994 to its operating business. Rod has a proven track record of guiding several organisations to success, such as BOAC, P&O, Sally Ferries, British Caledonian and British Airways.
